These Zaini Boero cherry cordials from Costco bring together the rich, smooth taste of dark chocolate with the sweet, tart flavor of dark red cherries, with a hint of liqueur. Taste
Wow, these are flavorful! They’re a dark chocolate with a whole cherry in the center that’s sitting in a sweet, alcohol syrup. If you’re unable to have alcohol, you’ll want to avoid these and they’re not suitable for children. They have alcohol in them, and they taste like alcohol.
The chocolate itself is pretty good, it’s a smooth, not very sweet dark chocolate. It’s nice that the chocolate portion is not too sweet because the cherry and alcohol in the middle are very sweet. The ingredients list just states they have “alcohol” in them but it tastes like Kirsch to me.
The cherry inside the chocolate is very good and so flavorful, you really taste a strong cherry flavor. I’ll warn you the chocolates are a bit messy if you don’t eat them in one bit because they’re so full of liquid! If you really like cherry and dark chocolate, you’ll like these.
Cost
The 210-gram box costs $9.99 Canadian which isn’t bad considering these cherry chocolates are made in Italy!
Convenience
The cherry chocolates are all individually wrapped and come sealed in a plastic bag in the box. The best before date is a year from when I purchased them.
These are definitely not school-safe or child-friendly and I think only individuals who like cherry and the taste of alcohol will enjoy these. They’re like a elevated version of Cella’s cherry cordials.

Ingredients
The ingredients list has pretty much what you’d expect to see which is a ton of unhealthy ingredients! These are loaded with sugar and contain artificial flavors as well as alcohol. They may contain milk, tree nuts and wheat. I guess one positive is that they contain real cherries.

Overall
Give it a try!
If you’re someone who regularly buys Cella’s cherry cordials or likes dark chocolate and cherry. I think you’ll like these. If you don’t like chocolates that have a bit of an alcohol flavor to them, skip these.
