Individual-sized frozen pizzas from Costco that might appeal to kids but not so much to adults!
The Sabastasssos Pizza Singles have been at my Costco for years but I’ve never picked them up to review them until now. I think my parents would buy Sabastasso’s for us when I was a kid to have after school but it’s been years since I’ve had them.
Other frozen pizzas from Costco are the Kirkland Signature Pepperoni Pizza, Pizza Delight Garlic Cheese Fingers, Sabatasso’s Gluten-Free Four Cheese Pizza and the Kirkland Signature Cheese Pizza.
Location in Store
You can find these in the freezer aisle at Costco near the other pizza. The item number is 392786.
Taste
The box comes with two flavors, pepperoni and four cheese. The crusts are almost like a shell with the sauce and filling inside; kind of like a deep dish pizza, but very small/shallow.
The crust gets very crisp around the edge while the bottom is chewier, but not soggy.
I feel the cheese pizza could use a little more sauce. The sauce is decently tangy and tasty. There’s not really a not a cheese on the pizza either, considering it’s a cheese pizza.
The pepperoni has a bit of spiciness and is pretty tasty; otherwise pretty similar to the cheese. I feel it could also use a bit more sauce! Overall, the pizzas are a little artificial and cheap tasting. They would probably appeal more to kids than adults. I could see kids liking them for lunch or a snack.
Cost
I paid $12.99 Canadian for the box of 12 individual pizzas. Considering the quality of the individual pizzas, that’s not really that cheap.
Convenience
There’s microwave and conventional oven method cooking instructions on the box. I baked mine in the oven and they turned out crispy. I think if they were done in the microwave they may be a bit soggy.
The individual pizzas from Costco need to be kept frozen and the best before date is about eight months from the date I purchased the pizza.

The pepperoni pizza has more calories. Per pizza it is 310 calories, 18 grams of fat, 25 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, six grams of sugar, 13 grams of protein and 730 mg of sodium.

There’s a ton of preservative sounding ingredients in these pizzas. They aren’t gluten-free or dairy free and contain ingredients like palm oil shortening, sugar and soy which often people try to avoid.

Overall
Walk on by!
Costco carries much better frozen pizza options that I think kids would like just as much as the Sabatasso’s. I do enjoy the Sabatasso’s Gluten-Free Pizza more than I did these.
Have you tried these? What did you think of them?

Hello there, what is the cooking instructions for the pizzas? I am totally blind, but I know how to use the oven. Thanks!
Hi Sheena, I hope this comment makes it to you. Preheat the oven to 400, remove the pizzas from the wrappers and cook for 13 to 15 minutes on a baking tray in the preheated oven.
I have just tried your product. It’s far too salty. 620mg & 730mg , too much salt for a tiny pizza.
If you don’t have less salt of this product, I think I won’t buy it anymore.
Thanks for your attention.
I agree with you. There are better options out there. It’s super salty and not all that flavorful. It doesn’t even taste like food to me but didn’t think they were expensive. In a pinch, this will hit the spot but definitely cannot be eaten often. Thanks for the review!
Not sure about the person who called you a “pizza snob” hah you sound very reasonable to me 😊
I first tried the pizza at my local costco store, and immediately went to the freezer where they have them. I am hooked on them. They are So yummy and fill the spot if you need a good snack or or Meal. I cooked them in my air fryer for 5 minutes@ 400degrees and they are perfect. A must buy!!!!!
Ditto ! These pizzas are awesome, and you can add a bit more cheese and any toppings you like to them and they will fill you up with just two of them. This woman must be a pizza snob if she only rates them 5.5/10 🙂
Same here, Paul. I enjoyed theses pizzas and added turkey pepperoni to the cheese ones. Yum!
I completely agree! Absolutely the best tasting individual serving pizza’s I’ve ever had and so convenient to grab one from the box and make in the toaster oven! I add sliced green olives to mine on the pepperoni one – YUM!
just tried the single pizzas. they are wonderful. both my husband and i really thought they were tasty and crispy. doesnt take long in the oven. i use a regular oven or a toaster oven.
Love these would love to see another pack with 2 new flavors maybe combination and Hawaiian
I just love them I like the cheese one the most good price great for snacking on
Not very appealing single pizza. Soggy center, even when cooked in oven.
I’ve had better… Not very good
Cook them longer…I put them in the toaster oven at 425 degrees for 12 minutes and the are crisp as hell 😉
very good and very tasty
I had a sample recently in Costco and thought they were very tasty. In my opinion the best frozen pizza I’ve had. Other frozen pizzas seem to leave an after taste. Great for a quick meal or snack. Going back for another box.
I like them! Quick lunch, or late night snack. Keep stocking them!
Add salt & pepper and additional mozzarella and sharp cheddar.
Cook in a toaster oven.
Pretty delicious!
I like them!
Just bought a box at Costco , at least 7 of the packages are not sealed and cheese is everywhere in the box .
Oh no! I would return!
Exactly
INSTRUCTIONS on package SAY TO ‘MICROWAVE’ & online to BAKE IN OVEN…which is definitely the ONLY way as you get a soggy/flaccid crust in microwave. A good breakfast if just put in fry pan for about 8-10 mins.
I actually think they’re alright for $1 each. I do add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper and sometimes red pepper flakes. Tasty.
Great idea with the red pepper flakes!
Ohhh this sounds great! I’ve actually got some in the oven right now; I wish I would have found your comment about 10 minutes ago lol. I’ll definitely try this out next time I bake some of these!
For your Italian seasoning, do you recommend any specific brand? I don’t really cook – I’m a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Can’t say no to a little pizza (in either sense) once in a while though!
I do that too and then bake in the air fryer according to directions on pkg. It’s a perfect size for lunch or even breakfast.
I LOVE the Pizzas!!!
But I cannot eat the pepperoni. Kills my stomach! Is there any way I can get just the cheese ones?
These single pizzas (cheese and pepperoni/cheese) are the sorriest excuse for a pizza of any kind I’ve ever had. You have managed to create the ultimate cardboard-tasting pizza. They were inedible.
Unless you’re notoriously picky with your pizza, you may have gotten a box that wasn’t well stored or something. I’ve been eating these on occasion for a few years now and while they’re objectively nothing to lose your mind over (I personally love them but I’m biased), they’re far from cardboard-tasting. Sounds like they may have been freezer burned.
Not that I’m trying to convince you to buy more; It’s more for other readers’ sake. They may or may not float your boat, but this sounds like an anomaly.
My granddaughter loves these I follow the microwave instructions and then air fry for 2 minutes after easy peasy
I usually add shredded cheese, chopped onion, and chopped jalapeno and or olives to these things and they’re not so bad.
Thanks for sharing Peter, I quite like these but I’ve been looking for some interesting ways to vary the flavor up a bit. I think onions onions or jalapenos would do a great job of it!
