Edamame is something I usually only eat at restaurants but now that I purchased this Edamame I can enjoy it as a healthy snack or side at home! I’m reviewing the Nature’s Classic Edamame from Costco today.

Taste

This Costco Edamame tastes just as good as any edamame I’ve had at a restaurant. After microwaving the bag of Edamame I sprinkled the Edamame with some Sea Salt and it was delicious. Edamame tastes kind of like peas to me except more savory/buttery and less sweet. They also have a slightly earthy flavor going on.

Cost

I purchased the Nature’s Classic Edamame from Costco for $9.99 Canadian. The box comes with eight 300 gram microwaveable bags of edamame.

Convenience

The bags of edamame in the box are microwaveable and all that’s required is microwaving for 2.5-3.5 minutes. They do cool off very quickly so they’re best consumed right out of the microwave. You can find the edamame in the freezer section at Costco and they also need to be kept frozen.

Nutrition

½ the bag or 150 grams of edamame is 92 calories, three grams of fat, seven grams of carbohydrates, three grams of sodium, one gram of sugar and eight grams of protein! The ingredients list is only one ingredient, organic young soybean in pods. The edamame is organic and NON-GMO so that’s a positive!

The Costco Nature’s Touch Edamame is a convenient healthy snack, appetizer or side! You can also add the edamame to various dishes such as salads or a stir fry.
