Costco Lamontagne Milk Chocolate Cashews Review

Cashews are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and healthy fats. If roasted cashews covered in smooth, sweet milk chocolate sound good to you, you may be interested in these Lamontagne Milk Chocolate Cashews. They seem simple, but sometimes the simplest things taste the best. Find out below if that’s true!

Lamontagne has had a bunch of products at Costco over the years like the Caffe Latte Almonds (which I loved), Milk Chocolate Pecans, Lamontagne Tuxedo Cake Bites and the Lamontagne Milk Chocolate Pistachios.

Location in Store

These are located in the snack section at Costco, near all the other chocolates. The item number is 1802452.

Taste

I don’t think of myself as being a big cashew fan, but I really enjoyed these. I think the main reason is probably that cashews go better with chocolate than I would have expected. The flavors seem to blend together well and the cashews are also relatively soft, so it’s much less obvious that you’re eating a chocolate-covered nut than it is with say chocolate-covered almonds.

Ready to try!

The chocolate is pretty good. It’s tasty and fairly smooth. The pink Himalayan salt isn’t super noticeable, but it’s definitely there.

Normally I prefer actual chocolates over chocolate-covered nuts, but these Milk Chocolate Cashews could easily fool you into thinking you’re just eating chocolate. They’re tasty and addictive.

Cost

The 850 gram bag costs $12.99 Canadian which isn’t too bad! Cashews are generally a cheaper nut compared to macadamia nuts or pecans.

Made in Canada.

Convenience

The chocolate-covered cashews are packaged in a resealable bag which helps keep them fresh. The best-before date is about 17 months from when I purchased them.

These are the perfect sweet treat for anyone who likes chocolate-covered nuts. Especially for those people who love cashews!

Nutrition

Calories

Seven chocolate-covered nuts contain 210 calories, 13 grams of fat, 23 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, 19 grams of sugar, three grams of protein and 45 milligrams of sodium.

It’s really easy to eat seven of these. Nuts are naturally high in calories and fat but they’re so darn tasty that it’s hard to know when to stop eating them!

Ingredients

The ingredients list isn’t miles long or full of a ton of unnecessary ingredients, it’s a pretty standard ingredients list for chocolate-covered nuts. The cashews are roasted, not raw. They’re gluten-free but not dairy-free and my contain other tree nuts.

Overall

Give it a try!

If cashews are your favorite nut and you love chocolate, you’ll probably enjoy these. I wouldn’t say I like them enough to buy another huge bag but I don’t find anything I really dislike about them. They’re not amazing just a simple chocolate-covered cashew.
