Costco Kirkland Signature White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies Review

The flavor combination of sweet white chocolate and tart dried cranberries is so popular it can be found in a ton of different baked goods like muffins, cookies, scones, tarts, cakes and loafs. The Costco bakery seems to make some pretty delicious cookies and they’ve now come out with their own version of a white chocolate and cranberry cookie. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into these soft, thick cookies and find out if they’re as delicious as they look.

Other bakery items from Costco I like are the Kirkland Signature Tuxedo Cake, Kirkland Signature Peanut Butter Chocolate Cream Pie, Kirkland Signature Cheese Buns, Kirkland Signature Croissants, Kirkland Signature Almond Danish, Kirkland Signature Biscoff Cake and the Kirkland Signature Coffee Cake.

Location in Store

We bought these in Kona, Hawaii and found them in the bakery section at Costco. The item number is 1778136.

Thick, soft and slightly chewy!

Taste

Everyone enjoyed the cookies. The cookies are soft in the center and a bit chewy on the outer edges. They’re pretty thick and loaded with dried cranberries and white chocolate. The cookies are pretty sweet because both the cranberries and white chocolate are sugary. The cookie dough is also quite sweet.

This one has lots of cranberries!

I love that the cranberries add some additional chewy texture as well as the slightest bit of tartness. The cranberries are sweetened so they’re nowhere near as tart as unsweetened or fresh cranberries. Overall these cookies are delicious and the cranberry and white chocolate pair perfectly together.

Cost

The container of cookies costs $9.99 USD and there are 24 small to medium sized cookies in it. I don’t think that’s too expensive but it’s also not as cheap as some store-bought cookies.

The container weighs one pound and seven ounces.

Convenience

The plastic container reseals which helps keep the cookies fresh and the sell-by date is three days from when we purchased them. If you’re not going to eat the cookies by the sell-by date you can easily pop the whole container in the freezer. The label doesn’t show a packaged-on date so it’s hard to tell when they were actually put out.

Loaded with white chocolate chips and cranberries.

These are great for a sweet snack or dessert, they’d also be awesome for camping, to bring to a potluck or serve at a barbecue or party.

Nutrition

Calories

One cookie contains 140 calories, six grams of fat, 65 milligrams of sodium, 20 grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of fiber, 12 grams of sugar and one gram of protein.

The cookies aren’t huge so 140 calories and six grams of fat seems about right to me.

Ingredients

I appreciate the simple, short ingredients list. Most of the ingredients you see would be ingredients you’d use to bake cookies at home. The only ingredients you may not use at home are soy lecithin and natural flavor.

The cookies contain wheat, eggs, milk and soy and may contain trace amounts of peanuts, tree nuts and sesame.
