Location in Store
This is located in the refrigerated bakery section at Costco, near the Tuxedo cakes and the Strawberry Shortcake. The item number is 1817198.
Taste
It’s been a while since I’ve had tiramisu, but as far as I know, this dish has all of the components. It’s a bit hard to see exactly how it’s layered, but the base seems to be biscuits soaked in coffee syrup, then there’s a layer of mascarpone cream, then a layer of biscuits, then another layer of mascarpone cream and then a dusting of cocoa on top.
The coffee syrup has a rich flavor that’s almost chocolatey, so it goes well with the cocoa in the tiramisu. The mascarpone cream is a smooth and almost buttery in flavor. The biscuits seem fairly plain on their own, but they do what they need to do.
Overall this is a really good tiramisu. It’s not overly sweet, but it’s very flavorful. The coffee, cocoa and mascarpone cream are perfectly balanced.
This is one of the best desserts I’ve had from the Costco bakery along with the Biscoff Cake and Peanut Butter Chocolate Cream Pie. I hope it becomes a regular item because I’d definitely buy it again.
Cost
The Tiramisu Scoop Cake at Costco costs $23.99 Canadian which isn’t bad! One cake could easily serve 10-12 people.
Convenience
The cake needs to be kept refrigerated and has a best before date that’s five days from when it was packaged. I don’t recommend freezing the cake because I think the texture would be a bit off after defrosting it.
This is not the most kid-friendly cake and I think it’s better suited for adults. It contains coffee and has a pretty strong coffee flavor. My daughter had about one bite and wasn’t really interested in eating more.

Honestly everything was fine however I prefer the bar version better as it’s neater. And since my scoop cake had absolutely DRENCHED ladyfingers. A word of advice – if you’re serving sweet tooths, make sure to minimize the area on the top, the top is sooo bitter.
This does sound tasty! Your post prompted me to check out “scoop cake” since I’ve noticed it popping up on line recently. It would appear that it’s meant to be a more casually served dessert…. scooped not sliced. Personally, that big a dessert will be served to dinner guests so I want it to look elegant (Hello Biscoff cake!) not a messy scoop from a cheap plastic container. But maybe that’s just me 🤷🏼♀️😁.
Thanks for your helpful review and Happy Thanksgiving 🦃!
