The combination of sweet and spicy is less common but delicious flavor combination, Some sweet and spicy foods are pineapple and mango salsa, red chili pepper jelly, Mexican hot chocolate, sweet red chili sauce and this Kirkland Signature Sweet Heat Snack Mix. I was a little worried this mix might be too hot, but it must not be too spicy because once I started munching on this, I couldn’t stop.
Costco carries a bunch of irresistible snacks that are hard to resist like the Kirkland Signature Kettle Brand Krinkle Cut Himalayan Salt Potato Chips, Kirkland Signature Peanut Butter Pretzels, Hoody’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Mix, Fannie May S’mores Snack Mix, Kirkland Signature Premium Quality Whole Mixed Nuts, Kirkland Signature Corn Chip Dippers and the Cretors Chicago Mix Popcorn.
Location in Store
This mix is located in the snack section at Costco near the granola bars, chocolates and candy. The item number is 1732802.
Taste
When you eat a handful of the mix, the components all blend together and you mainly notice the seasoning, which has tastes smoky with a nice amount sweetness. The heat is kind of understated, but builds as you eat the mix to the point where it’s moderately spicy. I think all but the most spice-sensitive people will still enjoy it.
As far as the individual components go, the seasoned almonds and seasoned cashews are what you’d expect. The honey roasted sesame sticks are kind of like a more dense pretzel with a great sesame flavor. The seasoned honey glazed pecan halves are very sweet. I found them too sweet on their own, but they work fine in the mix.
The BBQ flavored cracker coated almonds are light and crunchy. The almond flavor isn’t very noticeable. I’m not sure if I would have guessed they were almonds if I didn’t know. Corn nuts are a favorite of mine and these ones are great; nice and crunchy with good flavor.
Overall this is a very enjoyable mix. The only component I didn’t like that much was the pecan halves, but they mix in well with the other stuff. The seasoning is tasty and not overdone. The best test for any snack mix is how addictive it is, and I found this stuff hard to stop eating!
Cost
The 680-gram bag costs only $12.99 Canadian, which I think is really reasonable! There’s a decent number of nuts in the mix and the bag is pretty big. You only need a handful to feel pretty satisfied because it’s rather filling.
Convenience
The bag reseals which helps keep the mix from going stale and the best before date is about 13 months from when I purchased it. This is totally the kind of snack mix that you enjoy with a cold beer or cocktail on the patio or deck in the summer.
I think if it were served at a party, it would be a hit! My toddler was initially interested in the look the mix but found the flavor a little too powerful.
Nutrition
Calories
A 1/2 cup serving contains 280 calories, 20 grams of fat, 21 grams of carbohydrates, three grams of fibre, five grams of sugar, six grams of protein and 360 milligrams of sodium.
It’s so easy to eat way more than half of a cup so if you’re watching your calories you’ll want to practice portion control! The high amount of fat is coming from the nuts and there is a bit of added sugar in the mix.
Ingredients
The ingredients list is long, which makes sense because there are a lot of components in the mix! The mix contains a lot of the major allergens like wheat, almonds, cashews, pecans, peanuts, mustard, sesame, barley, bulgur and milk. It may contain other tree nuts, soy and sulfites. Although there’s nut in the mix that doesn’t make it really healthy when they’re coated in sugar and oil.

Must buy!
I really enjoy this mix of salty, sweet and heat! It’s addictive and hard to not eat a ton of it, I’d definitely serve it at a party or barbecue.

This is a great delicious mix. I add a few no salt mixture of mixed nuts and helps 😉 with portion control. Hard to find the snack in store right now where i live.
