Costco has offered a variety of egg bites over the years, including Starbucks Egg Bites, Three Bridges Egg Bites, and Veggies Made Great Spinach Egg White Frittatas. With their growing popularity as a low-carb, high-protein option, it’s no surprise that Costco has now launched its own sous vide egg bites under the Kirkland Signature brand.
They come in two flavors: Bacon & Cheese, and Egg White with Cheese & Roasted Red Pepper. I’m excited to see if Kirkland delivers the same quality with these egg bites as they do with so many of their other products!

Location in Store
I found these egg bites in the refrigerated deli section at Costco, near the Summ! Crispy Vegetable Spring Rolls and the Kirkland Signature Spinach & Cheese Ravioli. The item number for the egg bites is 1830083 and 1830081.

Taste
There are two different kinds of egg bites available, egg white with cheese & roasted red peppers and bacon & cheese. I bought both to try.
Out of the two I prefer the bacon & cheese bites. The first thing I noticed about the bacon & cheese bites is that the bacon isn’t evenly distributed throughout the bite. there’s some parts that have no bacon and other parts that have a lot. The texture of the egg bite is light, fluffy and a bit spongey.
The cheese is really noticeable and there’s a slight smokiness from the bacon. The bacon itself is tasty, some bits of bacon are fattier than others. Th evenly the inside is light, fluffy, cheesy and spongey, hint of bacon flavor. The bacon is tasty, some pieces are fattier than others.
The egg white bites are a lost less flavorful than the bacon & cheese ones. The roasted red pepper is only noticeable when you take a bite that has red pepper in it.
The texture of the egg white bites seems a bit spongier than the bacon & cheese ones and I noticed a slight plastic after taste that I didn’t love. I noticed a hint of heat coming from the hot sauce that as well, they aren’t super spicy, just hot.
Cost
Both 595 gram boxes come with five two-packs of egg bites, so ten egg bites per box total. Both kinds cost $18.99 Canadian. That’s not cheap but it’s a lot cheaper than ordering them from Starbucks. Two egg bites at my local Starbucks costs $5.65 Canadian.
Convenience
The recommended heating method is to heat them in an air fryer but you could also heat them in the microwave or oven. I used my microwave and they turned out fine. The egg bites need to be kept refrigerated and have a best before date that’s about 6 weeks from when I purchased them.
The egg bites are vacuum sealed and packaged in two but you have the ability to just cut off one to eat at a time which I appreciate! These make a convenient breakfast, snack or lunch option! They’re a product of the USA.
Nutrition
Calories
Two bacon & cheese egg bites contain 250 calories, 17 grams of fat, eight grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, one gram of sugar, 16 grams of protein and 520 milligrams of sodium. That’s not very many carbohydrates but the calories, fat and sodium are pretty high.
Two egg white with cheese & roasted red pepper bites contain 150 calories, seven grams of fat, 10 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, two grams of sugar, 11 grams of protein and 410 milligrams of sodium. These are a better option if you’re watching your calories and fat but they do contain less protein.
Ingredients
The bacon & egg egg bites contain egg, milk and of course pork. I’m surprised that hot sauce is listed as an ingredient at the end because you really don’t taste any amount of heat or spice.
The egg white with cheese & roasted red pepper bites contain similar ingredients to the bacon & cheese bites except they have the bell pepper, onion, spinach, parmesan and tomato and are lacking the bacon.
I was able to taste the hot sauce in the egg white bites but it’s not strong. Both kinds of bites are gluten and soy-free.
Scoring
Taste: 8/10 for the bacon & cheese bites. 6/10 for the egg white with cheese & roasted red pepper.
Cost: 6/10
Convenience: 10/10
Nutrition: 7.5/10
Overall
Give it a try!
These are a quick and convenient low carb meal option. I prefer the Costco Starbucks Sous Vide Egg Bites over the Kirkland Signature but they’re both good.

The Kirkland brand egg bites are a waste of money. Tried twice from 2 different Costco stores. Both times were disappointing. Second time, the egg bites went in the trash. Terrible taste and texture. Definitely not worth the price.
Three Bridges Egg Bites are far superior.
the egg bites that were the vegetarian and they were good.did not try the bacon ones. i bought them when they went on sale for a special treat. worth a try
