Costco KIrkland Signature Manchego is a cheese addicts dream!
I don’t really review a lot of cheese on my blog but after trying this Kirkland Signature Manchego I think I need to try more cheeses! I previously have reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Cheese Flight, Costco Vello Mozzarella, Costco Bothwell Cheese Variety Pack and the Costco Folios Cheese Wraps. I had a cheese craving last time I was at Costco so decided to pick up the Costco Manchego to try and review.
This can be found in the refrigerated section near the other cheese and dips. The item number is 1206369.
Taste
This is some high quality, delicious tasting cheese right here! I absolutely love it. It’s so creamy and buttery. You definitely taste the richness of the sheep’s milk. The cheese is strongly flavored with the slightest bit of sharpness to it, it’s also nice and salty.
The color of the cheese is a pale yellow/white and it’s semi hard with a bit of an oily sheen to it. It cuts very easily. Don’t eat the rind on the outside as it’s not edible!
Cost
I paid $12.99 Canadian for the 500 gram brick of cheese. This is probably the cheapest price you’ll pay for Manchego cheese from Spain!
Convenience
This is amazing on it’s own, with crackers, on a charcuterie board, turned into grilled a cheese or served with some wine. The package does reseal once opened but I also put it in a ziploc bag to ensure it stayed fresh. The best before date is about four months from the date I purchased the cheese.
Nutrition
The ingredients list is incredily short and sweet with pasteurized manchega sheep’s milk being the main ingredient.
A 30 gram serving is 140 calories, 11 grams of fat, 250 mg of sodium, zero carbohydrates, fibre and sugar and eight grams of protein.
I could honestly eat a ton of this so it’s dangerous to have in my house! If you love cheese I definitely reccomend this Kirkland Signature Manchego Cheese. Even for those who don’t like to venture away from mozzarella or cheddar, try this one!

I am wondering if the “rind” is biodegradable? Can I compost it?
I think you definitely can.
I have also checked for months with no success here in Winnipeg. I LOVE this cheese! Please restock it COSTCO!
I love this cheese and for the last 3 months Costco does not have it. I asked ans the answer it’s coming next week.
Great of what year.
Can you please bring it back
Can’t understand why Costco got rid of this product. Haven’t seen it on the shelves for a couple of months now.
Find it all the time in NJ Costco at multiple locations.
