Gourmet jelly beans from Costco with 44 unique and tasty flavors!
Today I’m reviewing the Costco Kirkland Signature Jelly Belly gourmet jelly beans. These jelly beans from Costco are so colorful and the bag has 44 different flavors! I don’t know how they even think if 44 flavors!
I’m going to be completely honest, I’m not the biggest fan of candy, I’m more a chocolate girl but my husband loves candy and I’ve reviewed a few candy products from Costco in the past. I’ve reviewed the Costco Kirkland Signature Peppermint Candy Bark (available at Christmas), the Costco Smart Sweets Peach Rings, the Costco BomBombs Hot Chocolate Bombs (not good), the Costco Smart Sweets Sweet Fish and the Costco Almond Roca (available around Christmas).
You can find the Costco Jelly Belly beans in the snack section near the front of the store, the item number is 731448.
Taste
First and foremost, the jelly beans smell amazing I could put my face in the bag and smell them all day. Here are my notes on the different flavors:
Vanilla – not overly flavorful, but definitely a noticeable vanilla flavor.
Cantaloupe – sweet with a strong, nice Cantaloupe flavor.
Cinnamon – strong cinnamon flavor, like a chewy candy heart; small amount of heat. Not my favorite but I don’t like cinnamon hearts.
Sizzling cinnamon – strong cinnamon flavor, more heat/spice than regular cinnamon; kind of like a red hot candy?
Very cherry – sweet, great cherry flavor; one of my favorites!
Top banana – nice fake/candy banana flavor!
Peach – great peach flavor; one of my favorites (I love anything peach).
Bubble gum – tastes like sweet bubble gum flavor.
Cappuccino – strong coffee flavor, but I didn’t like it; not what I want in a jelly bean.
Lemon – good lemon jelly bean. Refreshing!
Lemon lime soda – tasty, more limey than lemony.
Kiwi – tasty, but not an overly noticeable kiwi flavor? Can’t quite say what the flavor is, but it’s yummy.
Strawberry jam – nice strawberry flavor, love this one!
Pink grapefruit – sweet and not overly sour; very nice!
Mango – great mango flavor; one of my favorites!
Island punch – nice fruity flavor; sort of a like a berry combo?
Mixed berry smoothie – very tasty; nice mixed berry flavor.
Lime or lemon lime? – great lime flavor. Citrusy.
Plum – tasted like plum, but kind of a weird flavor; not great.
Cotton candy – very sweet, but not bad.
Caramel corn – definitely tastes like caramel corn, but not a great jelly bean flavor in my opinion.
Buttered popcorn – sweet fake butter flavor; not what I want in a jelly bean.
Toasted marshmallow – very sweet; not bad; marshmallow isn’t super noticeable, but it’s there.
Chocolate pudding – tastes like chocolate, but doesn’t work great in a jelly bean; kind of a bitter aftertaste.
Berry blue – nice berry flavor.
Pina colada – good; strong coconut flavor, perfect for coconut lovers!
Crushed pineapple- nice pineapple flavor!
Tuti frutti – seems similar to bubblegum; hard to tell the two apart.
Blueberry – hard to notice a blueberry flavor; not bad.
Cream soda – very sweet; tastes like cream soda, but I’m not a big cream soda fan.
Watermelon – nice but not overly strong watermelon flavor.
Pomegranate – slightly sour, but one of the best flavors in my opinion.
Orange – classic orange flavor; always one of my favorite flavors.
I found it was hard to tell a few colors/flavors apart; this is made worse by the fact that many of the flavors don’t mix very well; you can’t just grab a handful of these jelly beans and stick them all in your mouth at once. It’s better to each them individually one by one which might be a good thing for portion control!
Cost
For the massive 1.1 kg bag of jelly beans at Costco I paid only $11.99 Canadian which is really reasonable!
Convenience
The bag of jelly beans is resealable which I totally appreciate and the best before date on the bag is about 13 months from the date purchased.
I imagine kids would love these because there’s so many different flavors to try! Also if you don’t like a few flavors that’s okay because you’re sure to like at least some out of the 44.
If you have an old gumball machine lying around you can put the jelly beans in it for guests or family to take whenever they have a craving for something sweet. I think these would also be awesome for a road trip, camping or to bring to the beach or lake.
Nutrition
Jelly beans are definitely not healthy but having a handful occasionally is not going to kill you. 35 pieces is 140 calories, zero grams of fat, 15 mg of sodium, 37 grams of carbohydrates, 28 grams of sugar and zero grams of protein.
The ingredients is mainly sugar, concentrated juices, natural and artificial flavors. You’re not getting any nutrition from these jelly beans, that’s for sure!

Overall
Give it a try!
I think kids would really love these as a treat, it’s also fun as an adult to try all the different flavors! I’m not a huge candy fan but even I found some tasty flavors in this bag of gourmet jelly beans from Costco.
Do you like jelly beans or not? Do you have a favorite flavor?

Sadly, they are not available (once again) here in the states on the West Coast. If you can find them, the price has TRIPLED ,literally tripled.
Shame,they were my favorites.
My Jelly Belly favourites are Tutti Frutti, Cappuccino, Watermelon, and Cinnamon … although, like you said, not all together. 😉
Thanks for the review, I had been considering buying them at Costco.
Love the tutti frutti too!
Thank you very much for providing such great reviews. Before I buy new products, I often come here to read the reviews. One small thing to mention. Instead of using American English (color, colorful, flavor, flavorful) it would be nice if you used Canadian English (colour, colourful, flavour, flavourful). Costco is an American company, but they use Canadian spellings on most Kirkland products sold in Canada. On the front of the bag of jelly beans it says 44 FLAVOURS, not FLAVORS.
Most likely has her computers typing set to American English. A simple mistake. Are you a school teacher?
BTW: Love Jelly Bellies, totally addicting, for sure! (This size bag, and the price, is the best you will ever find on these, anywhere.
Also, I believe that the Very Cherry flavour, is the most popular out of all of the flavours. I, once saw them in a Bulk Barn bulk snack, baking products store, with all the bins, etc., and you could by many of the individual flavours of these Jelly Bellies, if you only wanted to eat/snack/consume/hoover, certain kinds/flavours. COOL! (Saves having to pick out all your favourite ones! LOL)
Oh that’s awesome to know you can buy a bunch of the flavours you like best! Thanks for sharing that tip!
