Taste

These are really tasty, both my husband and I enjoyed them a lot. They’re chewy, soft and full of both chocolate chunks and macadamia nuts. You’d think being from a grocery store the chocolate or nuts would be scarce but these cookies are loaded with both.

These aren’t a crisp cookie at all, they taste slightly underbaked but I like my cookies soft. The edges are nice and chewy. The macadamia nuts give some crunchy texture and complement the chocolate chunks.

Cost

You get 24 medium-sized cookies for $10.99 Canadian which is a really good deal! One cookie at a bakery or coffee shop can cost as much as four dollars!

Convenience

The cookies come in a plastic resealable container and the best before date is five days from when they were packaged. These cookies freeze really really and you can freeze them in the container they come in or put them in a Ziplock bag. They’re perfect for a sweet snack or dessert and are great to bring to a potluck or party.

Nutrition

Calories

One cookie contains 230 calories, 12 grams of fat, 170 milligrams of sodium, 29 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, 17 grams of sugar and three grams of protein. That seems to be about the amount of calories, fat and sugar I expected.

Ingredients

The ingredients list is pretty short and has mainly the same ingredients you’d use making cookies from scratch at home. I don’t love that there’s palm oil margarine though. I’d prefer if there was butter used. The cookies contain wheat, milk, soy and macadamia nut. They may contain other tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, rye, barley and oats.
