Costco Galerie Au Chocolat Milk Chocolate Cookie Butter Cups Review

If you’ve never had cookie butter before, it’s a spread made from sweet, spicy speculoos cookies. With its rich, sugary flavor and subtle hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, it has a texture much like peanut butter. Sounds irresistible, right? Now imagine that deliciousness wrapped in creamy, milk chocolate—that’s exactly what you get with Galerie Au Chocolat Milk Chocolate Cookie Butter Cups!

These are located in the Christmas/seasonal aisle at Costco near the Kirkland Signature Crepes, David’s Butter Pecan Meltaways and the Kirkland Signature Belgian Luxury Chocolates. The item number is 1838938.

Taste

I love Biscoff cookies and pretty much anything that uses them, but I wasn’t sure how their cinnamon flavor would work with chocolate. I shouldn’t have been skeptical. These cups are awesome!

Even though the cups have a fair amount of Biscoff cookie butter in the middle, the Biscoff flavor is fairly subtle. They basically taste like milk chocolates with a hint of Biscoff. The chocolate shell is fairly thick and made of good quality chocolate. The mild Biscoff flavor goes well with it. In terms of texture, the cups aren’t super smooth, but they’re also not very grainy.

Cost

The 600-gram bag costs $18.99 Canadian at Costco, which isn’t cheap. You get quite a few individually wrapped cookie butter cups in one bag though and they’re not small either!

Convenience

The bag reseals and each chocolate is individually wrapped which helps keep the chocolates fresh. The best before date is about six months from when I purchased them.

I plan to actually use these cookie butter cups in some holiday baking! Both kids and adults will enjoy these sweet, scrumptious chocolates.

Nutrition

Calories

Three chocolates contain 190 calories, 12 grams of fat, 20 grams of carbohydrates, one gram of fibre, 18 grams of sugar, two grams of protein and 20 milligrams of sodium. One or two of these is enough to satisfy me as they’re pretty big.

Ingredients

The ingredients list has pretty much everything unhealthy you’d expect to see in a store-bought, mass produced chocolate like sugar, palm oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil and soy flour. The chocolates contain milk, soy and wheat and may contain peanuts, tree nuts and sulphites.
