We don’t drink a lot of pop in our house, and it’s mainly because of all the sugar! I enjoy pop, but I’d rather eat my treats than drink them. This Cove Soda promises to deliver the sweet taste of pop without the sugar and with healthy probiotics as an added bonus. Sugar-free pop that’s good for you and still tastes great? That’s a big promise. Keep reading to find out if this soda delivers!
Other beverages from Costco are the Alani Nu Energy Drinks, Fairlife Protein Shakes, Kirkland Signature Sparkling Water, Kirkland Signature Hard Seltzer, Aspire Energy Drinks, Fresh n’ Pure Guava Juice, Kirkland Signature Iced Tea Mix, Naked Smoothie Variety Pack, Blue Monkey Sparkling Juice and the Kirkland Signature Oat Beverage.
Location in Store
This soda is located near all the other pop and beverages in Costco, usually on the side wall of the store. The item number is 1715221.
Taste
I tried all three flavors and wrote notes for each one.
The grape has a pretty typical grape soda flavor. You can tell it uses an artificial sweetener and the grape flavor is artificial.
The orange soda tastes like artificial sweetener more than anything, there isn’t any strong orange flavor, the flavor is really weak. It mainly just tastes like artificial sweeteners.
Lemon lime soda has a very typical lemon-lime flavor. It also has a really strong artificial sweetener flavor.
None of these are anywhere near as good as regular soda but they’re not bad! If you’re used to artificial sweeteners you’ll probably find them tasty.
Cost
The case comes with 15 cans of soda and costs $19.99 Canadian at Costco which is really expensive in my opinion! I think the price is so high because the sodas contain probiotics so they’re kind of priced like a kombucha.
Convenience
There are three flavors in the pack and five cans of each flavor. The best-before date is about nine months from when we purchased them. These are great if you want a bit of a healthier diet pop with added probiotics.
I wish the flavors were a bit different because I think I’d get tired of the three that come in the case pretty quickly.

One can of grape Cove Soda contains zero calories, zero grams of fat, eight grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of sugar, zero grams of fibre, zero grams of protein and 70 milligrams of sodium.
The orange Cove Soda contains zero calories, zero grams of fat, eight grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of sugar, zero grams of fibre, zero grams of protein and 70 milligrams of sodium.
Each can of lemon lime Cove Soda contains zero calories, zero grams of fat, eight grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of sugar, zero grams of fibre, zero grams of protein and 70 milligrams of sodium.
Ingredients
All the ingredients listed with an asterisk are organic. The sweeteners are erythritol and stevia. I’m not sure if the flavors in the sodas are natural because it just says “orange flavor” and “grape flavor”. I like that there are some unique ingredients like turmeric, pink Himalayan salt and butterfly pea tea!
The difference between this soda and other typical diet sodas is that there are one billion CFU probiotics. Probiotics are good for your gut health so while this isn’t kombucha it’s better for your gut than just plain soda.

Overall
Give it a try!
If you’re looking for a low-carb, zero-sugar beverage with the added health benefits of probiotics you may want to try this. Personally, I don’t love them and won’t be repurchasing them.

I’m diabetic and one would think this would be a good alternative to other diet pops, but at that price forget it! Plus I don’t like grape sodas, so not worth it in my opinion. And if all it tastes like is artificial sweetener, what’s the point!
Thanks as always for your great review.
