Brownies like these Costco Charlotte’s Mini Chocolate Brownies are convenient, little bites of chocolaty goodness that are wonderful for portion control. There are also many ways to dress up store-bought mini brownies. These Costco mini brownies look like exact replicas of the well-known “two-bite brownies”, but are they as good?
I’ve been eating the familiar two-bite Brownies for years, I’m pretty sure that at every nursing potluck I’ve been to, someone always brings mini brownies. I’ve never tried any other mini brownies other than two-bite so I picked up these Charlotte’s Mini Chocolate Brownies to try.

Location in Store
You can find the mini brownies in the bakery section at Costco. The item number is 1526730.
Taste
If I were doing a blind taste test between the Costco Charlotte’s Mini Chocolate Brownies and two-bite Brownies I would not be able to tell the difference. These are just as good and despite trying them two weeks after I bought them they were very moist!
The top of the brownies is nice and slightly crispy and the inside is soft and fudgy. The chocolate flavor is rich and intense, not too sweet and definitely is like a bold dark chocolate flavor. If you’re someone who enjoys chocolate, you’ll like these.
I’ve tried Charlotte’s products from Costco in the past like Charlotte’s Raspberry Cream Cake and Charlotte’s Chocolatey Almond Shortbread. The brownies are my favorite out of the three products I’ve tried.
Cost
The 1.36-kilogram container that has 48 mini brownies costs $9.99 Canadian at Costco. The price is actually quite reasonable for such a large amount of brownies.
Convenience
The brownies come in a big plastic resealable container and the best before date is surprisingly almost a month from the date we purchased them. Homemade brownies definitely do not last that long on my counter.
I put my brownies in the freezer two weeks after purchasing them and they freeze really well, it’s easy to just take out one or two to defrost when I’m craving something sweet. I think kids will really enjoy these and they’re also great to bring for summer camping, to a big party or get together or a potluck.
You can be creative and put frosting on these brownies, use them in a trifle or just enjoy them with vanilla ice cream, which is how I like to have them!
Nutrition
Calories
Brownies are not low in calories, sugar or fat. Two mini brownies are 250 calories, 14 grams of fat, 29 grams of carbohydrates, two grams of fibre, 18 grams of sugar, three grams of protein and 160 mg of sodium. It’s really easy to eat more than two brownies. I shamefully can eat like four of these!
Ingredients
I’m still perplexed by how these brownies can last almost a month before the best before date. It isn’t even like the ingredients have a ton of chemical additives or preservatives. The ingredients list is pretty straightforward and has what I would expect to see for store-bought brownies.
Of course, the first ingredient is sugar. These Charlotte’s Mini Chocolate Brownies contain wheat, egg and soy. They may contain milk, peanuts, almonds, pecans, macadamia nuts, oats and sulphites.

Overall
Give it a try!
These mini chocolate brownies from Costco aren’t nearly as good as homemade but for a storebought brownie, they’re decently tasty!
