Costco Kirkland Signature Orange Liqueur Review

Have you ever had Grand Marnier? This Kirkland Signature Orange Liqueur is Costco’s version of it. We’re big margarita fans and always keep a bottle of the cognac and orange liqueur for those – we love to add a dash at the top. I’ve also heard of people enjoying it with coffee. Keep reading to find out how this orange liqueur stacks up against its well-known competitor!

I’ve reviewed a lot of the Kirkland brand liqueurs, wines and distilled alcohols like the Kirkland Signature Spiced Rum, Kirkland Signature Irish Cream, Kirkland Signature London Dry Gin, Kirkland Signature Prosecco, Kirkland Signature Hard Seltzer, Kirkland Signature Scotch and Whisky and my favorite the Kirkland Signature Traditional Holiday Egg Nog with Alcohol.

Location in Store

We bought this in Kona, Hawaii to make margaritas! The item number is 1735060.

This is a Cadillac margarita.

Taste

The liqueur is very, very sweet which I expected. There’s a good amount of orange flavor, but you notice the sweetness first. The alcohol taste is strong, but not as strong as I expected.

Compared to Grand Marnier, it’s nearly identical in color and odor. I think the Kirkland Signature actually might have a stronger orange flavor, but they’re very similar.

I tasted with while also tasting Grand Marnier and I actually think I might like the Kirkland Signature more, but it’s tough because I don’t really like drinking either one straight. I’d only use them in margaritas.

Cost

The 700 milliliter bottle costs $19.99 USD which is definitely cheaper than it would be in Canada and seems very reasonable to me.

Serving Suggestions

You can use the orange liqueur anywhere you’d use Grand Marnier or Triple Sec like in a Cadillac margarita, a Mai Tai, lemon drop martini or even an old fashioned! I know my Nanny (grandma) used to drink Grand Marnier warm and sip on it when she was sick!

You can definitely sip the Kirkland Signature Orange Liqueur but you won’t need much as it’s pretty sweet and strong.

Overall

Give it a try!

I really like how strong the orange flavor is in this liqueur! We used it for two weeks in our margaritas and they turned out amazing. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again.
