I’ve been really into nut butter recently! I’m basically obsessed with peanut butter on toast. Last time we were at Costco I picked up the Costco Kirkland Signature Natural Peanut Butter to try and today I’m reviewing it!
Taste
This is a natural peanut butter meaning it doesn’t have added ingredients like sugar etc. Sometimes natural nut butter I’ve tried isn’t very flavorful but not the Kirkland Signature Natural Peanut Butter! It’s full of flavor and tastes pretty close to big brand name not all-natural peanut butter. It’s creamy, smooth, thick and full of peanut flavor.
Cost
For a two-pack at Costco with each peanut butter weighing 1 kg I paid $10.99 Canadian.
Convenience
One thing I’ll mention about natural peanut butter is that there’s oil separation when you first open the nut butter so you have to stir it up really good. I find with other natural nut butter I have to give it a good stir every time I use it but the Kirkland Signature Natural Peanut Butter only required one good stir and stayed mixed the rest of the time I used it. The best before date on the peanut butter is about 11 months from the date I purchased it. It’s so convenient for peanut butter toast, sandwiches, peanut butter and apples or celery! You could even use it in baking. There are tons of ways to use the Costco Kirkland Signature Natural Peanut Butter.
Nutrition
There’s only one ingredient listed which is dry roasted Valencia peanuts! Two tablespoons is 185 calories, 16 grams of fat, seven grams of carbohydrates, three grams of fibre, two grams of sugar and eight grams of protein. This is full of healthy fat and peanut butter is also anti-inflammatory!
I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this peanut butter again. It’s delicious, creamy, full of flavor and makes amazing peanut butter toast!

What’s your favorite way to eat nut butter?
I liked your review of the Kirkland natural peanut butter. However, the review does not give all the nutritional facts with the quantities. Most of the listing of the nutritional data is not shown,
Is there a way of getting all the listing of of the nutritional data with all the quantities for each per 32 grams of peanut butter>
Please let me know
I have been eating peanut butter for 80 years and have been buying Kirkland natural for a number of years & as an expert in that field (80 yrs.) It is excellent. I will now share one of my combinations. Pancake maple syrup then peanut butter & more maple syrup. ENJOY
How is the peanut butter good for a year? Home made lasts 3 months..nothing listed as far as preservatives.,
Too runny but I found a fix online.
Sounds ridiculous but I promise it works! Add about 1/4 inch of water to the jar and stir it in thoroughly. It must be voodoo but it works!
DON’T BUY, IT’S GARBAGE.
It’s runny, sticky, almost soupy. I’m poor and still had to throw it away. Couldn’t make a sandwich with it. Pathetic! I won’t buy anything Kirkland after that.
It’s runny and the oil separates out because it’s not homogenized, IT’S NATURAL.
How is there no oil added? Hmm
Peanuts naturally contain oil, so when they’re crushed/blended that oil resurfaces 🙂
The best way to stir peanut butter, is to use a chopstick. It’s long and easy to clean.
My wife found a long tee spone and I stirred the Costco creamy peanut butter real good and it mixed well, thickin up a bit and I found peanuts in the bottom of the jar now my saltinee’s are much better as a snack
The best way to mix is with a hand mixer
Great idea!
Simply not peanut butter. Terrible.
Have you ever tried making peanut butter cookies with it?
Yes I have! I used it to make a Sally’s Baking Addiction recipe and they turned out great. Maybe a tiny bit less peanut butter flavored and a little dry but I’ll take that trade off because I got to use natural peanut butter.
Is the Canadian version the same as the organic American version?
Would taste very similar.
I’ve mixed and mixed, it’s a pourable goo
I turned mine upside down for few days before I mixed it and oil went to the bottom , then I tipped it back right side up and sliced and sliced with steak knife to incorporate the oil. First jar I sloshed all the oil on my self when I tried to stir it in !
