Costco Alpine Spiced Apple Drink Review

A warm, sweet, slightly spiced apple drink from Costco to enjoy this winter!

Today I’m reviewing the Costco Alpine Spiced Apple Drink. I got this during a recent trip to Costco to enjoy over the winter season.

I have reviewed other winter beverages from Costco like the Costco Deavas Hot Chocolate Bombs, Costco Starbucks Classic Hot Cocoa and the Costco Bombombs Hot Chocolate Cocoa Bombs.

Location in Store

You can find the Alpine Spiced Apple Drink in the section near all the other non-refrigerated beverages. Near the hot chocolate. The item number is 532100.

Taste

The Costco Alpine Spiced Apple Drink has a slight artificial smell. It tastes pretty sweet. Almost like a warm apple juice.

I used about 7 ounces of water, it says to use 6 to 8, it’s definitely strong enough, I might have used more water. I think it could use more cinnamon, it shows cinnamon sticks on the box more apple than cinnamon, a slight hint of spice.

Pour hot water over top the drink mix to prepare your spiced apple drink.

Tastes like hot, sweet, artificial apple juice.

Cost

I paid $9.79 Canadian for the box of 60 pouches of apple drink.

Convenience

To make the Costco Alpine Spiced Apple Drink you empty the contents of the pouch into a cup and pour six to eight ounces of hot water over top the apple drink. Then stir it quickly to dissolve the powder!

This is great for a cold winter day, like after tobogganing or building snowmen. The best before date is almost two years from the date I purchased it.

Although there’s “natural apple flavor” this is definitely not healthy. The first ingredient is sugar and the following two ingredients seem like chemicals/additives to me.

Walk on by!

It’s not bad just not amazingly good.  I could see if you were tobogganing or having a winter party this might be fun to serve.

Have you tried this? What did you think of it?

  1. I loved this cider. Was very disappointed they did not bring it back this year. Many people were asking for it! Please bring it back all year round!
