Costco Puravida Fire Roasted Vegetable Primavera Review

This new Puravida Fire Roasted Vegetable Primavera from the freezer section at Costco is frozen vegetables tossed with nutritious avocado oil and Himalayan pink salt. It’s ready to combine with your favorite dish or enjoy as is!

Location in Store

The Puravida Vegetable Primavera is in the Costco freezer aisle, beside the frozen broccoli florets and Kirkland Signature Stir Fry Blend. The item number is 1727798.

Taste

I don’t love the vegetables but I do like them. They’re pretty oily from the generous amount of avocado oil but are still tasty.

Ready to try!

Some of the vegetables are a bit soft and mushy from being frozen like the peppers but I don’t really mind the texture, that’s just what happens when you freeze watery vegetables. I still like them but a kid or adult who are sensitive to textures might find them a bit unappealing.

We served the vegetables with a chicken breast.

There’s a nice variety of vegetables, red bell pepper, zucchini, yellow squash, red onion and brocolli. There isn’t a ton of noticeable flavor so you can add extra seasoning but there’s enough flavor that you don’t need to add anything else.

Zucchini and broccoli.

Cost

The 1.5-kilogram bag costs $15.99 Canadian which definitely isn’t cheap and you’d be able to buy more fresh vegetables for the same cost. You’re paying for the convenience factor and I think the avocado oil and Himalayan pink salt boosts the price.

Convenience

There are three different types of heating instructions on the bag, stovetop, microwave and air fryer. We used the stovetop method and they turned out fine. The vegetables need to be kept frozen and the best before date is roughly a year from when we purchased them.

You can use the vegetable mix in pasta, eggs, a hash or just enjoy them as a side with chicken, pork or steak.

Ingredients

I think the ingredients list is amazing, it’s just vegetables, seasoning and avocado oil. I have zero complaints about the list and it’s rare products get a ten out of ten on nutrition but these frozen vegetables do!

Overall

Give it a try!

Cutting some fresh vegetables and adding your own avocado oil and salt will be a tad bit cheaper but this vegetable mix is convenient and healthy. I’ll use my bag up, but I’m unsure if I’d repurchase it.

  1. Costco warehouses don’t seem to carry this product anymore, as of 9/24. And the Costco Business Center says it doesn’t deliver to the Boston area. Any way to currently get Primavera Mistura through Costco to end up in Boston?

  2. I think for the convenience factor especially workday mornings to add to eggs, it may be worth it, other than that, I agree it would be cheaper to buy fresh. Thanks always for your great reviews!
