Costco Kinder’s The Chicken Sauce Dipping Sauce Review

Costco sells a lot of chicken products like wings, nuggets, strips, etc., so it makes sense that they would also sell a dipping sauce that goes well with chicken. You can tell just from looking at the name what this Kinder’s The Chicken Sauce Dipping Sauce is supposed to go with! Our family isn’t huge on adding sauces to dishes; we tend to stick with the basics like ketchup, mustard and barbecue sauce. Will this sauce become a staple in our fridge now that we’ve tried it?

Location in Store.

This is located in the aisle with all the our sauces and dips like my favorites the Bulls-Eye Barbecue Sauce and the Rao’s Homemade Marinara Sauce. The item number is 1728222.

Taste

I really enjoyed this sauce. It has a great combination of tanginess and creaminess. I struggled to think of the best way to describe it. The best I can come up with is a combination of mustard and mayo with a hint of ketchup, but I don’t think that does it justice.

Ready to try!

I tried it with the Kirkland Signature Lightly Breaded Chicken Chunks and fries and it was great with both. I could see it being awesome on a variety of sandwiches and wraps too. We eat pulled pork fairly often and I can’t wait to try some on a pulled pork sandwich. I bet it would be great with sweet potato fries as well.

Cost

The 605 milliliter costs $9.99 Canadian regularly but we were able to snag it for two dollars off so $7.99 Canadian, which is a pretty good deal for such a large amount of sauce!

Gluten-free!

Convenience

Although it’s a “chicken sauce” this doesn’t have to be used with just chicken. It can be used for a dip for fries, grilled cheese or chicken tenders! You can put it on burgers, breakfast sandwiches, in wraps or on fish tacos! It can even be used on burrito bowls or salads.

The dipping sauce is certified organic.

The dip should be popped in the refrigerator once opened and the best-before date is a year from when we purchased it.

Calories

Two tablespoons of dip contains 170 calories, 17 grams of fat, five grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibre, four grams of sugar, less than a gram of protein and 170 milligrams of sodium.

It’s really easy to eat two tablespoons of sauce and there are a lot of calories and fat in two tablespoons so if you’re watching your calorie or fat intake for any reason, definitely practice portion control with this!

Ingredients

The ingredients list is less than impressive with soybean oil and sugar being the two first ingredients. Although the ingredients are organic it doesn’t mean this sauce is healthy

One thing I like about this Kinder’s sauce is that the sauce is dairy-free and gluten-free!

Overall

Give it a try!

I love this sauce. I hope it sticks around because I could see keeping a bottle in my fridge pretty much all the time. A lot of people say it tastes like chick-fil-a sauce and I would tend to agree!
