There seems to be a dill pickle craze all across North America right now. There’s a variety of different dill pickle products available at Costco like salads, chips and dips. I absolutely love the Taylor Farms Dill Pickle Salad Kit that’s available at Costco and would love a dip with a similar flavor to the dressing in that. Does this Costco Spicy Dill Pickle Dip compare?
I found this dip on Superbowl Sunday and decided to pick it up to review. I’m usually a bit averse to really spicy and hot foods but I hoped this would just be mildly spicy with more of a dill pickle flavor.
Other dips I’ve reviewed from Costco are the Kirkland Signature Organic Salsa, Penny’s Pico De Gallo Salsa, Culinary Treasures Jalapeno Lime Aioli, La Terra Fina Queso Dip With Cheddar, Rojo’s Street Corn Dip, Good Foods Plant Based Queso Style Dip, Fontaine Sante Spinach Dip and Dairy Free Boursin.
Location in Store
You can find this dip in the refrigerated deli section at Costco, near the other dips, cold cut meats and cheese. The item number is 1679379.
Taste
I really like this dip, I was a bit worried it would be too spicy like the Costco Miss Vickie’s Spicy Dill Pickle Chips but it’s a mild heat! The dip is cool, creamy and definitely dilly. The bit of heat coming from the cayenne takes a while to be noticed by the tastebuds.
The cream cheese and sour cream base helps balance the cayenne and create a dip similar to any dill pickle chip dip I’ve bought from the local grocery store with a bit of an extra kick.
I paired this with some raw vegetables and it was pretty delicious but I regretted not having a bag of the Kirkland Signature Kettle Krinkle Cut Himalayan Salt Chips in the house because I think this dip would be amazing with those.
Cost
The dip costs $9.99 Canadian and comes in a two-pack with each tub weighing 454 grams, which is quite a bit of dip!
Convenience
The dip needs to be kept refrigerated and the best-before date is a month and a half from when I purchased it. With dips like this, I always recommend finishing them up in about a week after opening them to make sure they don’t go bad.
I like that the dip comes in a two-pack rather than one larger tube of dip. This pairs perfectly with chips, raw vegetables, naan bread, crackers, chicken strips, wings and even tortilla chips.
Nutrition
Calories
Two tablespoons of dip contain 70 calories, seven grams of fat, two grams of carbohydrates, zero grams of fibre, two grams of sugar, one gram of protein and 250 milligrams of sodium.
That’s actually not too many calories or too much fat per serving size as long as you stick to two tablespoons which I think is really hard to do!
Ingredients
The ingredients list has pretty typical ingredients for a dip like this. The dip is gluten-free and vegetarian but not vegan. The packaging says it’s a medium heat dip and I would agree it’s mild to medium heat.
This dip isn’t nutritious nor contain healthy ingredients but most condiments aren’t.

Overall
Must buy if you like dill pickle with a touch of heat!
This dip isn’t too spicy for my sensitive taste buds and I’m loving the dill pickle trend right now. If you’re a dill pickle fan too, I recommend picking this up.
If you’ve tried this before, what did you think of them?
